You can also visit the nearby attractions namely the famous Death Railway Bridge, War Cemetery, Hellfire Pass, Tiger Temple, Lawa Cave, Saiyok Noi Waterfall and Erawan Waterfall & National Park.

KANCHANABURI – BY ROAD is located at a 3 hour drive from Bangkok and you will need to follow the Phutakien Pier (RESOTEL Pier) signboard. You will then arrive at the Pier and will need to take a long-tail boat from the Pier to the RESOTEL. There is a secured parking lot available at the private pier. The complimentary long-tail shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 8am to 6pm – whereby arriving out of the shuttle time, will cost you 1000thb/boat/trip.

If you’re planning to take a TRAIN – get off at the Namtok Station and grab a local transport to the Pier. Ensure that it is made clear to the driver to drop you off at the Pier and not the main road, as the pier is situated 2kms from the Main road and you will need to walk downhill to the pier. There is no walkway and can be dangerous walking down.

EAT & DRINK :

The RESOTEL has a restaurant that offers tantalizing buffet and ala-carte menu to choose from. The buffet is available at 480 thai bahts per person. The restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and has daily live band. Last call for the menu is at 10pm and then it’s lights OFF! Hence, feast to your heart’s content before you call it a night.

It is also good to note that the sun sets at around 5.30pm and by 6pm it is already dark in Thailand – hence you might want to plan your drive and tours accurately to avoid surcharges for the long-tail when you arrive as well as commuting the boat in the dark.

TIPS:

Your 'waze' to your Chalets

1. On a personal account, if you are staying at your precious RESOTEL hideaway for 2D/1N, I would highly recommend enjoying the activities offered by the RESOTEL and save yourself the trip out to the pier or simply laze by the beach chairs arranged by the river for a fulfilling quiet getaway.

2. If you are able to request for your rooms (as shown in the 'waze' picture) - ask for rooms 001 - 002 (first row - mountain view chalets) and 101 - 104 (second row chalets), as these are the rooms facing and close to the mountains and river.
